I study in a university where there are a lot of foreign students. These students happen to try to use the word ‘lah ‘. Maybe they are trying to fit in i guess or tryin to achieve something. I don’t know. But they better do something about it.
The thing which i find weird is that they do not use lah in a proper context. They have not mastered the art of lah. They are playing with a word beyond their understanding.
Analogy : You are hearing a musical composition and suddenly you hear an off note. Potong stim kottt.
Lah has become an identity for Malaysians and not using it correctly it is not a good thing man. Not cool.
Advice : Try to properly understand the usage and intonations of lah before attempting to include it in your sentence. Tq. We appreciate your effort. π

Hi there, blogwalking here.
Yes, foreigners tend to do that. They just want to mingle I guess haha.
Well, I’m from Sabah and Peninsular students always try to use the word ‘Bah’ when they came to Sabah to study. Haha.
But back to ‘lah’, I don’t think foreigners will ever get it right. Wakaka. jk.
Well, happy Thursday and happy blogging yo.

Hey! hahaha. I see. Yea probably they are trying to mingle around. Good to have a diverse classroom. It’s fun. So we have experienced similar scenarios but with Lah and Bah. Thanks for sharing here. Appreciate it! π
